EKOShower is built with high-quality components to provide a long-lasting, reliable product.

EKOShower incorporates the latest technology for optimal efficiency. The included USB-rechargeable battery is designed to power the system for approximately 3 months of use in an average household shower before requiring a recharge.

Installation is simple and fast, designed to fit easily between your existing water supply and showerhead in under ten minutes.

Installation Guide

Please ensure all components are present before starting: main unit, sensor boom, battery, pipe nipple, and thread sealing tape (Teflon tape).

  1. Attach the Sensor Boom: Carefully attach the sensor boom arm to the main EKOShower unit.

  2. Prepare the Wall Connection: Remove your existing showerhead and the existing water supply pipe (often a short extension from the wall). The EKOShower unit and its supplied pipe nipple are designed to replace it.

  3. Apply Sealing Tape: Wrap thread sealing tape (provided) around both threaded ends of the new pipe nipple.

  4. Install the Pipe Nipple: Insert the tapered thread end of the pipe nipple into the wall water supply connection and turn until tight. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO INSERT THE TAPERED THREADED END IN THE WALL.  The flat side of the pipe nipple should now be exposed, ready for the EKOShower.

  5. Replace any pipe trim if you removed it.

  6. Attach EKOShower: Hold the EKOShower unit's inlet near the exposed threads of the pipe nipple.

  7. Hand-Tighten: Tighten the clamp connector to the pipe nipple with your fingers first to ensure a smooth, cross-thread-free fit.

  8. Final Tightening: Use a pipe wrench or pliers to tighten the clamp to the pipe nipple. CAUTION: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN to avoid damaging the unit or the wall fitting.

  9. Install the Battery: Open the battery cavity and insert the fully charged USB battery.

  10. Secure the Battery: Replace the battery hood.

  11. Reinstall Showerhead: Reinstall your showerhead or shower wand onto the EKOShower unit. You are now ready to take your first EKOShower.

User Manual - How It Works

EKOShower opens and closes its own internal valve to provide water only when you actually need it.

  1. Start Your Shower: Turn on the water and adjust the temperature controls to your desired setting.

  2. Warm-up Timer: EKOShower starts a 30-second timer as soon as the water begins flowing. This time allows the water to reach your desired temperature.

  3. Water-Saving Mode: After 30 seconds, EKOShower automatically reduces the water flow to a trickle.

  4. Full Flow Activation: Upon entering the shower and approaching the showerhead, the proximity sensor detects your presence and immediately restores the water flow to full.

  5. Pause Mode: If you step away from the shower (e.g., to lather or shave), EKOShower will quickly detect your absence and reduce the water flow back to a trickle to save water.

  6. Resume: Step back under the shower, and full flow will be instantly restored.

  7. Shut Down: When you are finished, turn off the water using your main shower control. EKOShower will automatically enter a low-power "sleep" mode, waiting for the next shower to begin.
